Official Opening of “The Factory“in Southill
Tuesday, April 20th, 2010Mayor of LImerick Councillor Kevin Kiely, in the presence of Munster Rugby Sqad members on 20th April 2010 officially opened the Southside Youth Space now know as The Factory, which is based in the Old Fulflex Building in the Galvone Industrial Estate, Limerick. The Youth Space caters for all young people, aged between 10-21 years, who looking fro a safe and stimulating environment to spend their free time, engage in activities such as the creative arts, sports and educational pursuits, and to become active in their own community. Facilities in the Factory include two indoor pitches which can be used for soccer, badminton, basketball, hockey, ETC. A dance studio, PC suite, meeting rooms and a permanent rehearsal space where music equipment will be available, in addition to a small art room.
