Notice of proposed variation of the Limerick City Development Plan 2004-2010 This notice which was publically advertised on 6th May 2010, signals the planning of the first new build housing development of the Regeneration Masterplan. This scheme which consist of 40 new dwellings suitable for families and older persons is due to commence before the end of this year.

Official Opening of “The Factory“in Southill

Mayor of LImerick Councillor Kevin Kiely, in the presence of Munster Rugby Sqad members on 20th April 2010 officially opened the Southside Youth Space now know as The Factory, which is based in the Old Fulflex Building in the Galvone Industrial Estate, Limerick. The Youth Space caters for all young people, aged between 10-21 years, who looking fro a safe and stimulating environment to spend their free time, engage in activities such as the creative arts, sports and educational pursuits, and to become active in their own community. Facilities in the Factory include two indoor pitches which can be used for soccer, badminton, basketball, hockey, ETC. A dance studio, PC suite, meeting rooms and a permanent rehearsal space where music equipment will be available, in addition to a small art room. The Factory can be contacted directly at 061-422385
